Varsity AA Head Coach - Ken Brzozowski

Ken Brzozowski has more than ten years of youth hockey coaching experience. He has coached Squirt through Midget and High School teams for the Wissahckon Warriors, West Chester Quakers and the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials. Brzozowski served on the board of the Wissahickon Skating Club for six years and chaired the Wissahickon Junior Hockey Program for three years.

The foundation of Ken's coaching philosophy is rooted in respect and trust. Skills taught in practices focus on core systems that are expanded with each individual player resulting in the development of the team as a whole. Varying game strategies are introduced as the season progresses and are designed to resemble those that are being taught at all levels within the Abington Ice Hockey program. Under this system, players are challenged to improve all elements of their game while ensuring they are situated in an environment that supports their specific skill sets and allows for opportunities of success.

"The ultimate goal is to increase players' skills throughout the year; be competitive in league play; successful in the post season; and encourage them to continue to enjoy the game of hockey as they graduate to the next level of whatever lies ahead in their future." -Coach, Ken Brzozowski

In order to be a successful coach you not only need to know the game but you need to know people. There are very few coaches in the game that understand the player as well as John. Players of every level feel comfortable approaching John and he strives to make himself accessible to everyone on his teams.  This ability to communicate with the players is a huge asset to our program.
